LZ® 5280 is a high-performance, ultra-high molecular weight polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) dispersion supplied as an aqueous solution with 78–80% non-volatile content. Designed for industrial coating and ink formulators, it delivers exceptional surface slip, abrasion resistance, and anti-blocking properties across waterborne, solventborne, UV-curable, and 100% solids systems. Its low surface energy significantly reduces coefficient of friction while enhancing scratch resistance and maintaining substrate clarity or gloss. Widely adopted in decorative and functional coatings for furniture, packaging, printing inks (especially water-based gravure and flexo), and leather finishing, LZ® 5280 supports sustainable formulation by enabling reduced solvent use and improved film durability without compromising compatibility or process stability.

Store in tightly sealed containers at 5–35°C, away from direct sunlight and freezing conditions. Shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture when stored unopened under recommended conditions. Transport as non-hazardous material; no special UN classification required. Dilute with alcohol/water (1:1) prior to incorporation; add during grinding, let-down, or post-addition stage. Avoid prolonged storage of diluted solutions—use within 24 hours and re-agitate thoroughly before use.
